How to make a ringtone
- Choose the song (MP3, M4A, WAV, FLAC) or a video with the sound you want.
- Pick iPhone or Android, then the part: play, pause where it should start and press "Use current time". Up to 40 seconds for an iPhone.
- Press "Make ringtone". It gets a short fade in and out and an even volume.
Putting it on an iPhone
iPhones take ringtones as M4R files of up to 40 seconds. With a Mac: connect the iPhone with a cable, select it in Finder and drag the M4R file onto it. With Windows: do the same in the Apple Devices app or iTunes. Without a computer: open the file in Apple's free GarageBand app and share it as a ringtone.
Then choose it in Settings → Sounds & Haptics → Ringtone.
Putting it on an Android phone
Download the MP3 on the phone (or copy it into the phone's Ringtones folder), then open Settings → Sound → Phone ringtone and add it with the + or "My sounds". Menu names differ a little between Samsung, Pixel and other phones.

No. Everything runs in your browser, so your files stay on your device. Nothing is uploaded.
Is Snipmill free?
Yes. Snipmill is free to use and needs no account.
