Version 2 7 October 2026

  • AddedAudio to Text — speech to text on the device (Whisper, 99 languages, translate to English), TXT/SRT/VTT, with pages for audio, video, MP3 and voice memos.
  • AddedAdd Subtitles — captions burned into the video, styles, 9:16 for Reels/TikTok/Shorts, with 3 pages.
  • AddedSend button on phones (share sheet with the finished file).
  • Added Keeps working when the phone sleeps (screen stays on), progress in the tab title, "leave page?" guard during a job.
  • Changed New "studio" look: light pro design by default, dark studio design when the device is in dark mode; pages up to 1440 px wide.
  • Changed Header has Video, Audio and Speech & subtitles menus and a tool search ("/" to focus); the "Nothing is uploaded" pill moved to the footer.
  • Added "Open a file" on the home page (or drop a file anywhere on it): pick the file first, then the tool; the tool opens with the file loaded.
  • Changed Home page lists the speech tools first, with a "New" tag (also in the menus).
  • Changed New home page layout: a search box (try "GIF", "WhatsApp" or "Ringtone"), six popular tools first, then every tool under Video, Audio and Speech headings; calmer cards with colour only in the icons; "Your tools" shows the tools you use most on this device.
  • Changed Home page hero shows an editor window; tool cards keep their own illustrations (pastel in light, deep tint in dark).
  • Changed New footer with every tool, its icon and its pages.
  • Changed Audio to Text: language, translate and Transcribe on one line.
  • Changed Compress to a size on Safari (Mac and iPhone) no longer makes long videos twice: it tries a few seconds first, then makes the whole video once, just under your size.
  • Changed Tool pages show their text sooner on phones and slow connections.
  • Changed Send is only on phones and tablets, as a lighter button under Download; computers just have Download.
  • Fixed Compress says plainly when a video is already as small as it can be and still look watchable (and that trimming it works), instead of two notes that disagreed.
  • Changed When a file goes past a limit (free plan length, 10 files at once, or what this device can hold), a clear card says which limit, how long or big your file is, and how to get under it, with a button that opens Audio Cutter or Trim Video with the file already loaded.
  • Fixed The drop area no longer flickers while you drag a file over its picture or text.
  • Fixed A file over a free length limit no longer flashes the editor before the limit card: the page reads its length first.
  • Fixed Buttons and controls inside the tools show the hand cursor again.
  • Changed Our own dropdown, checkboxes and radio buttons in the site's look (no plain browser controls); the language list floats over the page.
  • Changed Add Subtitles shows its 3 steps (Create subtitles → Pick a style → Save the video); the start button says "Create subtitles"; one card: the lines (left, fixed height, a loading state while they arrive) beside the video with the live caption (right), and the style, position, frame and Make video on one line below; styles shown as "Aa" previews, position and frame as small pictures; a bigger "Make video" button.
  • Changed Logo with a colorful gradient, also in the browser tab icon, phone app icons and the share image (which now names all the tools).
  • Changed Tool pages: tool icon by the title, numbered steps, FAQ cards, "More tools" cards with icons.
  • Changed Privacy page explains the speech model download and the Send button.
  • Added Audio to Text pages for lectures, interviews, meetings and podcasts, each with its own tips.
  • Added Add Subtitles takes your own SRT or VTT file ("or use my SRT/VTT file"): its lines are styled and burned in without the speech model.
  • Fixed "Open a file" could close right after you chose a second file.
  • AddedResize Video (9:16, 4:5, 1:1, 16:9; crop to fill or black bars, live preview of what stays) with pages for TikTok, Instagram and square videos.
  • AddedRotate Video (turning keeps the quality, no re-encoding) and Flip Video (mirror).
  • AddedMute Video / Remove Audio (picture copied, done in seconds).
  • AddedChange Video Speed (0.25×–4×, voices keep their pitch) with Speed Up and Slow Motion pages.
  • AddedVideo to GIF (up to 30 s, width and smoothness, size estimate) and MP4 to GIF; GIF to MP4 .
  • AddedVideo to JPG / PNG: save any frame at full size, step frame by frame.
  • AddedRemove Location from Video : shows the GPS place and camera a phone saved, then copies the video without any metadata (no re-encoding); also a Remove Metadata page.
  • Fixed Files made by the slower compatibility engine could keep the phone's GPS location; now no file Snipmill makes carries the place it was filmed.
  • Added Compress pages for WhatsApp (60 MB), Discord (19 MB, under the 20 MB free limit) and email (20 MB), with the limits and their sources.
  • Added "Do more with this file" under every result: one click takes the result to the next tool (trim → resize → compress) without choosing it again.
  • Changed The Video menu shows its tools in two columns.
  • AddedAudio Cutter (and MP3 Cutter): keep a part of a song or recording, with fades, in its own format or MP3, M4A, WAV, FLAC, OGG.
  • AddedRingtone Maker : M4R for iPhone (up to 40 seconds) or MP3 for Android, with a soft fade and even volume, and how to put it on the phone.
  • AddedAudio Converter with WAV to MP3, MP3 to WAV and FLAC to MP3 pages.
  • AddedVolume Booster : up to +20 dB without crackle, or even out the loudness (−16 LUFS); works on videos too (picture copied), with Increase Video Volume and Normalize Audio pages.
  • AddedRemove Background Noise : takes down fan, hum and hiss, makes the voice clearer and the loudness even; hear 10 seconds before and after first. Also for videos, and an Enhance Voice Recording page.
  • Changed "Open a file" suggests what your file probably needs, with the reason (too big for email, has a GPS location, MOV to MP4, wide video for Reels), then lists every other tool that takes it.
  • Added This What's new page, linked in the footer.
  • Added Visual trimmer in Trim Video, Video to GIF, Audio Cutter and Ringtone Maker: a filmstrip (or the sound's waveform) with handles to drag, arrow keys for one frame (Shift: one second), I and O to set the start and end, "Play the part".
  • AddedMerge Videos (and Combine MP4 Files): clips in your order, different shapes fitted with black bars, silent clips get silence.
  • AddedAudio Joiner (and Merge MP3): files in your order, with an optional crossfade.
  • AddedAdd Music to Video (and Replace Audio): a song under the video's sound or instead of it, repeated to the end, fading out; the picture is copied.
  • AddedVoice Recorder with a level meter, pause and resume; Screen Recorder for a screen, window or tab, with the microphone if you like. Both go straight on to other tools.
  • Added Several files at once in Compress, Convert, Video to MP3, Resize, Rotate, Mute, Speed, Remove Location and the sound tools, with "Download all (ZIP)".
  • Added Install Snipmill as an app: it opens without a connection after the first visit, takes videos from the share menu on Android ("Share to Snipmill") and opens files from "Open with" on computers.
  • Added Compress, Video to MP3, Audio Converter and Resize start with the settings you used last time (kept on this device).
  • Added "Your recent work" on the home page: your last jobs and the space you saved, kept on this device only, with a Clear button.
  • Added "Compare with original" after compressing or converting: both videos at the same moment with a divider to drag.
  • Added Compress Video says what you'll get before you start (frame size and how good it will look) and suggests a bigger size or trimming when the result would be blurry.
  • ChangedAdd Music to Video is now a small editor: drag where the music starts and stops in the video, pick which part of the song plays (like the chorus), set the video's own sound and the music (up to 200%) separately, fade in and out, and hear it with the video before saving.
  • Changed Every tool opens as a studio, like the editor on the home page: the file on a big preview with our own player, Video, Audio and Text tracks with a playhead, the settings shown on the preview as you change them (speed, turn, the new shape, mute, volume), and an Export panel that says what you'll get before you make it. The result plays in the same place, with the original one tap away.
  • Changed Home page: one row of your last four jobs (instead of two lists), and the big search box under "What do you want to do?" uses the same search as the header.
  • Changed The free plan's limits are said up front: Audio to Text takes recordings up to 60 minutes (no daily count), Add Subtitles videos up to 10 minutes, Remove Background Noise up to 30 minutes, and up to 10 files at once in batch tools, Merge Videos and Audio Joiner. Everything else has no limit beyond your device. More with Premium is coming soon.
