Save a frame from a video as a JPG
Pause on the moment you want and save it as a full-size picture: sharper than a screenshot, without the player on top.
Your file stays on your device. Nothing is uploaded.
How to save a frame from a video
- Choose your video.
- Play it and pause on the moment you want. Use the frame buttons to step one frame back or forward.
- Pick JPG or PNG and press "Save frame".
Better than a screenshot
A screenshot captures the player at screen size, with buttons and bars on top. Here the frame is decoded from the file at its full size: a 4K video gives a 3840 × 2160 picture, and an iPhone video comes out the right way up.
JPG is smaller and fine for sharing; PNG keeps every pixel exactly as decoded, for editing or printing. A still from a video is never quite as sharp as a photo, because video is compressed and has motion blur; pausing on a steady moment helps.
Your videos stay on your device
Nothing is uploaded. The frame is decoded in your browser, so family videos and private recordings stay with you.
