Rotate a video
Fix a video that plays sideways or upside down. Turning is done in seconds and keeps the original quality.
Your file stays on your device. Nothing is uploaded.
How to rotate a video
- Choose the video that plays sideways or upside down.
- Pick 90° right, 90° left or 180°. The preview turns with it. Add the mirror if you need it.
- Press "Rotate video" and download the MP4.
Why turning keeps the quality
A video file has a note that tells players which way is up; phones set it from how you held them. Turning a video here changes that note and copies the picture as it is, so even a long 4K video is ready in seconds with no loss.
Mirroring is different: the picture itself has to be flipped, so it is encoded again as H.264 at about the original quality. That takes longer, about as long as converting the video.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Short answers about how this tool works on your device.
Why does a video play sideways in one app and fine in another?
Phones save which way is up as a note in the file. Current players on phones, Windows, macOS and in browsers follow it; a few old players don't. If a video plays sideways everywhere, the note is wrong: rotate it here to fix it.
